These sections are manufactured from S275JR grade steel and have excellent machinability and weldability. Our stocks are available in mill finish, red oxide, or Zinc finishes to offer a range of corrosion resistance properties to suit your project. To increase corrosion resistance mild steel is normally painted or galvanized after fabrication.
Mild steel channel is widely used in civil engineering and construction to support floor joists and to weight bear above window and door gaps where the structural load does not require an I beam.
